Make Your Own Slime & Itty Bitty Watermelons

I found a "recipe" for homemade slime online. It's very easy to make and Makena and Megan had fun making it and playing with it.

You need Elmer's glue, liquid starch (We found the Sta-Flo brand at Walmart on the laundry aisle super cheap.), food coloring (we used green), sandwich bags and a 1/4 C measuring cup.
Add 1/4 liquid starch into baggie. Add about 3 drops of food coloring and use your hand (or let your kids do this part) to mash the bag to mix in the color. Next add 1/4 cup of the Elmer's glue. Seal the bag well and let your little one smush it around until it starts to become a solid ball of slime. Just throw away any extra liquid you may have.
Now take your slime out and have fun! And if you're wondering, the food coloring did not stain the kid's hands green.
Makena's slime was still pretty goopy after we took it out of the bag but she worked that goop right out.
If any of my local friends want to make slime but don't want to buy a whole bottle of starch let me know! We'd be willing to share ours! We stored our slime in a new sandwich bag.
This weekend I made these itty bitty watermelons for the girls. They were super easy but I waited too long to take my picture because the watermelons had started to melt! I used limes, raspberry sherbet and miniature chocolate chips. Megan LOVED them! She kept asking for more watermelons. :)
