Makena has been going to speech for 30 minutes every week this year. She has a couple of mild articulation errors that they've been working on. She really enjoys going and has improved a lot. Her speech teacher, Mrs. Ivester, is fantastic. She is so nice and comes up with fun games and worksheets for Makena to do. I've asked her for some website recommendations so we can continue to do work this summer. Mrs. Ivester will be having a baby later in the year and I hope whoever they send to fill in while she is on maternity leave will be as wonderful as she is. We were able to go to speech at our home school. And Makena will be starting kindergarten there this fall. She has already gotten really comfortable going so hopefully this will help her on the first few days of school. Since we did speech through the school system we followed the school calendar. Mrs. Ivester had to help with EOG's so we just had Makena's last day of speech for the school year.
