Cape May Cafe

It has taken me a while but this is the last Disney post! Before we left for home we went to Disney's Beach Club Resort to have a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe. It was fun to have one last experience before hitting the road. Our breakfast was at 7:45 so it also helped us get an early start. Minnie was the first character to stop by.
Next came Donald. As you can see, the characters were all wearing beach attire and Everett decided to wear his Hawaiian shirt to match. Here is Everett trying to put his head under Donald's shirt. Megan was loving on Donald a little too much, as well. She had her hand under his shirt stroking his feathers. :)
 What silly kids!
They brought Everett a cupcake and birthday card at Cape May Cafe, too. He was happy about it at first and then he literally hid under the table.
Here he is after being pulled out from under the table.
Minne helped make it better when she stopped by for a second visit.
Everett couldn't take his eye's off of her.
 Goofy came last.
Goofy thought Everett wanted an autograph but he was actually handing him our bill. :)
 Now Goofy is confused...
After breakfast we got in the car for the long drive home. I'm sure we have many more trips to Orlando in our future!

Animal Kingdom & Hotel Fun

After our break we headed to Animal Kingdom. Zane and Mindy drove up from Miami to hang out with us that afternoon. If you're familiar with Disney, you know that Animal Kingdom closes earlier than the other Disney parks. But after talking it over with the kiddos that's where we headed. Here is the crowd in front of the tree of life...

We did see a few animals at Animal Kingdom....but not many. We headed to Camp Minnie Mickey to see Goofy.
We didn't have time to do much at Animal Kingdom. I was encouraging the crowd to go on the safari since we enjoyed it last year. I knew I wouldn't ride and was okay with that. But we also noticed they were about to have the last showing of the Lion King for the day. And once we mentioned that to the girls they were determined to go see it instead of going on the safari.
The kiddos each got dessert and a toy at Animal Kingdom, as well, so they were all pretty happy.

When we got back to the hotel we headed to The Artist's Palette for dinner. We had eaten there once or twice before during our visit and the girls really wanted to go back. The food was pretty good but the girls were looking forward to drawing the most. They had art easels set up at the tables for the kids to draw. And they had a bulletin board with drawings from the "artist of the day." Sometimes it's the little things that the kids end up enjoying the most. We go to Disney World and they keep talking about that little restaurant and swimming in the hotel pool. :)
The girls were begging to go to the pool so Phil took them for a few minutes while I gave Everett a bath. Everett asked for bubbles but I didn't think to bring bubble bath with us. We decided to turn on the jets and add a little baby wash to the water. Voila! Bubbles galore!

Hollywood Studios

The next day, we headed to Hollywood Studios. We had reservations for breakfast at Hollywood & Vine eating with some Disney Jr. characters. Megan (and Everett) still enjoys quite a few of the Disney Jr. shows. And although Makena wants to act like she's gotten too big for these shows she was really excited when I told her about our reservations. Special Agent Oso was the first character to stop at our table.
We have a lot of pictures of Everett looking at characters. :)
June from the Little Einsteins came next. Everett had gone with Phil to the buffet so they missed her. It was the characters' break time immediately after these pictures. Megan asked where they were going and I said they were probably going to get a drink of water, get a snack or go potty. Makena said, "I think she's going to take off her head." I think the magic may be beginning to fade.:)
All three of the kiddos love Handy Manny!
And Megan's favorite, Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, came last. This is currently Megan's favorite show.
Megan said goodbye to Oso before we left...
The girls were dying to get their faces painted.
Megan chose the "mermaid princess."
And Makena chose the "pirate kitty."
Since Everett was getting carried a lot and getting a lot of piggyback rides, we knew that if he got his face painted it would just rub off onto Phil's shirt. So Everett got a little Woody figurine instead.
Next we went to see Disney Junior-Live on Stage. We saw this last year and it was one of the few things that both girls really wanted to do.

All of the kids really like the Toy Story movies so we had to try to see Buzz and Woody. We caught a glimpse of them through a glass door and Everett was pretty excited. Unfortunately the wait was a little too long for Everett.

There were some fun props throughout the line.
Miss Megan and her posing....
Poor Everett had enough...
It was sad since Buzz and Woody are a couple of his favorite characters.
This is as close as he got...
The Buzz and Woody episode was the beginning of the end of Hollywood Studios for us. We did manage to see Lightening McQueen and Mater but Everett wouldn't leave my side so we only got photo pass pictures of that. I haven't yet decided if I'm willing to pay for all of our photo pass pictures. If I decide to get them I'll add them to the blog. We had a snack and walked around and Everett continued to do poorly. We had fastpasses for the Toy Story ride but we finally decided that it would be best to head back to the hotel for a break and possible nap. The timing of our break worked out well because as just as I was lying down next to Everett it started raining cats and dogs. We had gotten out of there just in time. The storm passed and we ventured out again after our break. More to come!
