Phil's birthday fell the day after Father's Day this year. He had just gotten back from his Chicago trip on Saturday night so the kids were really excited to see him. We took Phil and G-Dada out to a Father's Day brunch on Sunday. And then we had our dinner for the Stangers that afternoon. Phil had to work on his birthday but we had a family dinner at Firebirds that night to celebrate. Makena and Megan helped me make the traditional lincoln log cake for his birthday. Here are the kids with Phil and one of his birthday gifts. This picture goes way back. There was a picture like this at the Moore's old house at Lake Gaston. There were drinking games that were based on this picture. For now this picture will be in our basement. Phil said whenever we were able to re-create the lake house this would be the first piece of art work in it.
