Last week, Makena and Megan participated in a camp at their preschool called, Take a Bow. When I told the kids about the different camps their preschool was going to have this was the one they immediately wanted to do. It was described as a week of music, dance and dramatic play led by their music teacher, Ms. Pat. On Friday, the kids put on a play based on the story The Three Little Pigs. In the next picture, Makena is on the far left and Megan is on the far right.
Ms. Pat talking to everyone about the play.
There were a few kids who actually had roles in the play. Makena was excited to be one of them! She played the Mother Pig. They told her to wear pink the day of the play. She came out to the center of the room and everyone sang along to the Mother Pig Song while Makena did her part.
She was making silly, nervous faces before she went out to do her part. :)
At least she had the mask to hide the silly face.
She did a great job!
Megan did a great job, too! The kids were supposed to switch out their pig and wolf masks based on what song they were singing. Megan often forgot to switch masks. :) But she did sing most of the time and looked awfully cute while doing so.
During their week at camp, the kids got to make their masks and also helped decorate the set. They used 3 big cardboard boxes for the pigs' houses. Makena said her class helped make the brick house and Megan's class helped make the straw house. Makena's class colored the trees in the back and Megan's class got to decorate the apples and glue them on the trees.
Makena as a wolf...
Little Megan as a wolf...
This was their big finale. "Bop, bop, bopera, the three piggy opera!"
And just so he isn't left out, here is a picture of Everett. Check out that double chin. :)
