Pictures from the Phone 3

Makena, Megan and I participated in the one mile run at her school again this year. Phil stayed home with Finley and Everett so we snapped a few pictures on our own.
Makena did a great job and could have easily ran the whole time. But Megan needed a little more encouragement and did need to walk a couple of times. I told her she had to be running when she crossed the finish line to get a medal. Despite all of the huffing, puffing and walking, Megan told us she had "so much fun!" So we'll plan on participating next year, too!
Finley recently started using the Bumbo! (BTW: I know there is a recall for these things...but it's because people walk off while their kids are sitting in them and then the kid falls out. That's not happening here. :))
We found out Finley can hold a bottle! She hated it and the formula. But she looked awfully cute while holding it!
Makena and Megan had a lemonade stand during the Parade of Homes to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Our neighbors, Erin and Lauren came and helped out and they all had a lot of fun!

 Tummy time!
 Fireman Everett
Snapped this picture while Megan and Everett were watching The Lion King. Megan is holding her baby Simba up like the do in the movie and Everett really wants to join in.
Finley and I were out running errands one day and she was so happy. Here she is smiling at nothing in particular...
Megan loves it when I make paper dolls for her to decorate. I made some "boys" for Everett that he decorated, as well. I remember my Grandma Jolly making them for me out of newspaper when I was little.

Makena's class recently celebrated their 50th day of school. They encouraged the kids to dress up and had root beer floats. They picked a few kids that were dressed up to be on the school news and Makena was one of them! Of course that was the first thing she told me when she got off the bus. Apparently on Fridays they turn on music and the kids on the news can dance and it sounded like that was her favorite part. :)
