This summer Megan decided she wanted to jump off of the diving board. Phil and I were both a bit surprised when she asked. Especially since she can't swim. :) As soon as we got to the pool that was the first thing she wanted to do. So Phil jumped in first....
and then it was Megan's turn. I love that she put her goggles on for this.
I don't think she was the least bit scared.
Because then she went and did it again!
It took a little more nerve for Makena to try it. But she wasn't going to let her little sister show her up.
She did it! But one time was enough for her.
The kids have spent some of their summer catching frogs, worms, grasshoppers and any other critters that have the misfortune of wandering into our yard. We have a large Glad container with wholes punched in it set aside to cage said creatures.
We were sad to say goodbye to our pediatrician this month. Dr. Cannon has been our pediatrician since Makena was born. Phil did a rotation with her during med school and immediately knew that's who he wanted taking care of our children. Like a lot of the female physicians we know, Dr. Cannon had been part time for a while. We received a letter saying she was leaving active practice and later heard she was moving to a corporate job in High Point. We gave her a gift the kids made along with a card. We found out Little Finley was up to 10 pounds and I'm sure weighs even more now.
Dr. Cannon said Finley was sad she is leaving...
