Sawtooth Camp

Makena went to a camp at Sawtooth again this summer. She loved it last year and it was at the top of her list of things to do this year. The theme she chose was "At the Circus." They had a parade and art gallery on the last day. They had the parade outside with all of the kids blowing noise makers as they marched around their audience.

G-Dada and Everett watching the parade...
 Makena's posing with her mask...
Makena made a tiger on a ball from clay.
Makena's friend Dree was at the camp, too!
And we were surprised that our friend Wyatt was there, as well!
Around a week ago, Makena and Megan got dressed in their nice dresses and decided they wanted to make Phil and I an anniversary dinner. It wasn't our anniversary and Phil hadn't gotten home from work yet but they were determined. They really wanted to make a fruit salad so I let them use lettuce knives. They tied ribbons around the bench and chairs for decoration and set candles out on the table (but didn't try lighting them....thank goodness!).
They gave us each two cups of water, a mini box of raisins and a pack of breakfast bars. They also served cheese sandwiches they cut with cookie cutters along with our fruit salad.
They had so much fun setting this up. Megan told us that for dessert she was going to let us have a "freezer popsicle." Not just a popsicle but a freezer popsicle. :)
