A couple of days before Christmas, we were able to get together with Phil's brother Lindsay & his family and with Zane & Mindy at G-Dada's house. We had a nice dinner and let the kids exchange gifts. Makena and Megan (mostly Megan) had also decided that it was Pooh Bear and Benny's birthday. These are Makena and Megan's favorite stuffed friends. They had picked out a box of funfetti cake mix and icing at the store after deciding that we needed a birthday cake for the occasion. I personally don't care for the funfetti cake but the kids all seemed to like it. Megan wanted to make it a bundt cake because she thought it looked like a flower. :)
What is a birthday cake without candles?
The girls got a wardrobe for American Girl clothes from G-dada and Patty....
The living room was a wreck...
Amy and I both knew what Makena was opening and knew she would be excited. :) Megan got an American Girl for her birthday and Makena has been dying to have one, too.
So happy!
Makena named her Mia. :)
Everett got the boy version of a dollhouse....a firehouse. Or as Everett would say, woo...woo...woo!
The insane stack of Barbie's from G-Dada and Patty...
Everett loved the Elmo guitar from Nana and Popaw. The girls also got a few movies and the game Pop the Pig which was a big hit.
We made some yummy cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. Spiderman was a big helper.
We had to sprinkle the reindeer food on the front yard before bedtime.
Everett absolutely adored the snowman we had outside this year. He wanted to go see it every time we went outside. He would say "Hey!" when we were pulling in the driveway. Then he would go talk to it and touch it.
Giving the snowman a little lovin' before calling it a night...
Sweet kisses for the snowman...
