Makena's soccer coach treated her team to a Wake Forest Women's soccer game. We've taken the girls to a ton of Wake football games and they have been to Wake basketball games but we had never been to a soccer game. I guess it was about time, huh? Makena and Megan were super pumped to see their pal, the Deacon, at the game!
All the kids wanted to watch the game down by the field.
There was quite a bit of dancing going on down there! They play some pretty good music at those soccer games!
Phil was on call but was able to sneak away from work for part of the game.
The highlight of the entire night was the kids getting to go out on the field at the end of the game. They were so excited! They got to run all over the field and talk to the team. The team was pretty pumped up, too, because they just had a 2-1 win over Maryland. For some reason my camera has been spazzing out the last few days. So some of the pics from the next few blog posts won't be so great.
Here are the Commodores and the Wake Forest women's soccer team. Makena is over to the left next to number 2. And Megan is sitting on the ground in the middle of the group in front of number 12.
The girls were a little hesitant to go and talk to the soccer players. I think they were worn out as it was way past their bedtime. The game didn't even start until 7pm!
Sweet girls on the soccer field.
We finally got around to painting our pumpkins. I say finally because the girls wanted to come home and paint them when we bought them a week or two ago and have been asking about it ever since.
Here are the girls and their finished pumpkins!
