Makena had her last soccer game this past weekend. For the parents it was a little bittersweet. It will be nice to eliminate a couple of activities every week (practice & games) and we will also enjoy having our Saturday mornings free again. But we will miss our friends and it seems like the seasons is ending just as the kids were starting to really get into it. Makena played really well. She played 2 quarters and was chasing the ball the whole time (in the past she just followed the herd.) She made contact with the ball quite a few times and even attempted a few goals. She also had fun being goalie and stopped the other team from scoring.
There is our number 9!
She got 2 more patches this week!
Team huddle...
Here are all the kids with their trophies...
On Sunday, we went to Touch a Truck at the Children's Museum. We weren't able to spend a lot of time there because we had a pretty busy Sunday and Phil was having a terrible call weekend. But the kids had a lot of fun and got some awesome construction hats and other goodies from the Policemen and everyone else there.
We rocked out to Big Bang Boom!
I'm sure Everett will be LOVING Touch a Truck next year!
