We have had something going on each week since Finley was born. Phil was home for week one and my mom came for week two. For week 3, the girls went to Camp Bumblebee from 1:00 to 4:00 for 3 afternoons. Three teenage sisters in our neighborhood hosted it at their house. They did all sorts of games and arts and crafts and had water fun on the last day. Makena and Megan loved it! And it was only $35 per kid and was super convenient. It allowed Everett to have some much needed mommy time and cut the noise in our house in half (at least).
We hadn't managed to get any pictures of Everett holding Finley up until now. Initially, he wasn't the least bit interested in her. Then he became fairly interested but became difficult to get a picture of. He would want to hold her while I was alone with him and the baby and the camera was no where around. So finally when he asked for "baby" again I whispered for Makena to run and get the camera.
See....he does like her!! :)
And then he'll try to point at (and/or touch) all of her parts. "Baby eye...baby nose..."
Silly faces
Aunt Carol arrived to visit during week 3, as well.
I'm sure she'll be eager to rest when she returns home. :)
Here are a couple of pics taken by Megan...
Finley was about 2 1/2 weeks old when she really started waking up more. She is still such a good baby and will only cry a little when it's feeding time. Wet/dirty diapers don't bother but she sometimes bothered by a cold baby wipe. Other than that, she's often so quiet you'll forget she's there. She has became even more expressive and is smiling more and more everyday. She loves to snuggle up to me and loves to be warm and bundled up.
