St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's Day has turned into a fun holiday at our house. One year, the girls came home from preschool talking about how leprechauns came to their friends' houses, left things for them and did all sorts of crazy stuff. So we now have a mischievous little leprechaun that visits our house on St. Patty's Day. This year he made another big mess at the breakfast table.
Someone brought a leprechaun trap to school and Makena decided she wanted to make one, too. She knew exactly how she wanted to make it. "I need a big box, a small box and some string." She and Megan decorated it on St. Patty's Eve. :)
As you can see, the leprechaun left a little note for them...
He also left a pot of gold, beads, a cookie cake and 3 St. Pat's Day crafts.
All 3 kiddos were excited by the mess and treasure left by the leprechaun.
We then did our traditional St. Patrick's Day photo shoot.
Makena and Megan were cheesin' big time.....Everett not so much.
 Oh boy.
 Happy again
Probably the best one of all 3 together...
Resorted to giving Everett a bag of chocolate chips (only sweet available) to try to get "the shot."
As you can see, it didn't really help our cause.
 And it's over.
Here is a look back at 2011...
And 2010.
