Everett is TWO!

Everett turned two on March 2nd. He definitely looks and acts like a two year old these days. But those first two years went by so quickly! We celebrated with Nana, Popaw, G-Dada, Patty, Uncle Larry, Shannon and Madison. We had everyone over for BBQ sliders, meaty beans, potato salad, fruit, mac and cheese and cake and cookies. We let Everett choose his party theme and I can't say I was surprised when he chose Thomas the Train. We picked up a Thomas cake at Lowes Foods.
And Megan helped me make the cookies. We used our transportation themed cookie cutters. Our Everett is such a cookie fan that I knew we had to have cookies, too.
We spent some time opening gifts...
Here is a shot of everyone opening packages and installing batteries....
This is the only shot of Everett with his party hat on...
Only shot of the 3 together....
 Silly girls
Everett got a little shy when everyone sang Happy Birthday.
He had been dying to pull the train off of the cake since we picked it up at the store.
Here we are with our sweet boy.
Everett got a train table for his birthday and he loves it!
Right now, Everett is obsessed with trains and cars and all other vehicles. He loves to brush his teeth, and lets us help a lot more than the girls do. He is pretty picky eater but loves watermelon and danimals quite a bit. He loves to read books about Elmo and trains. He loves to draw or do "art" as he calls it. He is rapidly changing from a toddler to a little boy. It seems like I hear him say a new word everyday. Everett has quite a few moments when he is a handful and is a hot mess but the rest of the time he is a sweetheart and is down right hilarious.
