The Latest on the Hizzle

The first couple of pictures were taken a few days ago. The copper is completely done now.

Is it weird that I think the copper kind of looks better after it has turned?

There are three areas on the house where we are using stone because we are unable to use brick. Here is the stone we picked out.

They finally got our chimney bricked!

And here are a few pictures of the inside. We have so much cabinet space in our laundry room! Our washer/dryer currently lives in the unfinished part of our basement. This will be such a nice change of pace. They have a tinted primer up. We had originally wanted the laundry room to be Blonde but I think I'm going to switch it to Benjamin Moore's Harbor Fog, the blue we're using for Megan and Everett's rooms. This is the right side of the laundry room. My laundry basket will sit in the top part of the larger cabinet. That's where the laundry will drop from the laundry shoot!

This is the left side of the laundry room, where the W/D will live. There will be a bar to hang things on the open space over the W/D. I also got a pull out ironing board! Maybe I'll love my laundry room so much I'll actually stay caught up with the laundry. What do you think?

The kitchen cabinets are sitting in the kitchen waiting to be installed. The guys are working through Memorial Day weekend to get them in.

Here are all of the interior doors that are currently living in our dining room. They'll be going in soon!

I LOVE the pattern we chose for our front and side stoops, 45 degree herringbone.

Here is Makena in her pink room. The small door behind her was going to be attic access. We had them drywall it and are now going to have them put paint, carpet and lighting in it so it can be a little "fort" for the kids to play in. It's just big enough for the kiddos to hang out in. The workers are going to have to draw straws to see who has to work in the fort.

Here is the cool window seat with storage underneath in Makena's room. It's a work in progress.

The cabinets for the bar are in the basement. They should be installed this weekend. Note the black cabinets and gold paint....can you tell where we're going with this?
