Megan's Mini-Party

This past Sunday, we were supposed to have Megan's 2nd birthday party. We had to postpone it because Megan was sick. Makena and Megan had both been sick for an entire week at that point. Megan's actual birthday isn't until the 24th and we hope she will be better by then. The gymnastics place where we were going to have the party is being great and allowing us to reschedule the party at no additional charge. We have really appreciated how easy they have made it for us. Today is Megan's first day without a fever since last Tuesday. She still isn't eating and has a cough and diarrhea (tmi, sorry) but is doing much, much better. Makena was well enough to go to preschool yesterday. It looks like we're finally getting better. My mom usually works on Sundays and had already asked for the day off to come to her party. We warned my parents that they would be exposing themselves to some yucky stuff but they decided to come anyway....of course. So Nana, Popaw, Makena, Phil and I had a mini-party for Megan at home. She was in between fevers so she handled it okay. The girls had also decided to put their Halloween costumes on for some reason.
Megan absolutely loves this toy. Nana and Popaw brought her a My Little Pony that talks. You can also feed it and give it a bottle and a pacifier. It's going to be hard to beat. They also gave her another My Little Pony, some books and a puzzle that spells her name.

We picked up Megan's birthday cake just in case she was well enough to have the party. We had a hard time picking a theme for her cake this year. She likes everything so I had the bakery put 3 characters on the cake.
She loved it! Sweet little girl doesn't even look sick in some of these pictures but I guarantee you she was. I guess cake and presents will help make anyone feel better.

Cinderella loved the cake!
She probably took 2 or 3 bites and was done. It was the most she had eaten in days.
We didn't want Makena to feel left out because Megan is getting multiple birthday celebrations. Nana and Popaw brought her some new books and a sparkly pony. Phil and I gave her her first Barbie doll. You can give the Barbie hair extensions and cut it's hair. She loved it!
