I took Makena and Megan to the fair this morning and they had a great time. We started our visit with face painting, which always makes them happy.
You can't see it in this picture, but Makena has a pink butterfly (her choice) and Megan has a purple one (because as usual, she copied her sister).
They wanted to go see the animals first. We started with the sheep. We also saw cows, but I think Megan was a little intimidated by their size, she wanted out of the cow barn pretty fast.
We went to see the giant pumpkins.
One of their favorite things at the fair was the petting zoo. I bought a bag of carrots for them to feed to the animals. They loved feeding the goats!
Megan: "I like da animals"
Makena: "I'm not feeding them."
Makena: "He thinks I'm his mommy."
Makena really, really wanted to ride a pony. Here she is riding a pony named, Andy.
Megan rode Freckles.
They had sprayed glitter on the ponies and they were all very sparkly. Makena said they looked pretty.
A big treat....ice cream before lunch!
We rode the 2 story carousel and of course Makena wanted to ride "upstairs".
They got cotton candy as a reward for being good.
