Epcot

We went back to the hotel and rested for a bit. The girls also insisted on going to the pool and arcade. :)
Then we went to check out Epcot and have dinner. Megan had to strike a pose. Little Miss Outgoing lets her personality shine through.
The girls both wanted to go inside "the big ball" so we rode Spaceship Earth first. Makena liked this ride because they took our picture and used them in a video at the end to give us a glimpse of the future.
Then we went to ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends. The girls remembered this ride from our visit last year.
Since Megan had gotten a gift earlier we needed to let Makena choose something. She chose a cute messenger bag. And we didn't forget about Everett! He had gotten a Lightening McQueen car after his haircut.
We were about to leave when we realized it was almost time for IllumiNations, a fireworks and laser show. We stayed for a few minutes before heading out. We had driven to Epcot and wanted to get out before the park emptied out. I wanted to include one picture from the show but in this one I think it looks like we're all watching somethings burn. :)

Magic Kingdom Part Two

We spent a little more time at Magic Kingdom after the big haircut. When we came out of the barber shop we were greeted by a couple of fun cast members.
And we were just in time to catch the beginning of one of the many Disney parades.
Everett loved the Toy Story characters.
It was so bright!!
The teacups were on the girls' Disney bucket list. After watching the teacups for a while, Everett decided he wanted to ride, too. We didn't think it was a good ride for me so Phil rode with them. I liked seeing the 3 little blond heads sticking out of the teacup. :)
After teacups, Makena said she wanted to drive a car at the Tomorrowland Speedway. Phil took her while I stayed with Megan and Everett. Here is another blackberry picture...
Megan had seen some girls with Rapunzel wigs and just had to have one. So that's what we went to find while Phil and Makena were at the speedway.
Then we took a break and played with cars. Here is a good picture of Everett with his new haircut...
Earlier in the day, we picked up fast passes to see Mickey and Minnie and the princesses. Everyone was tiring out so we decided to go use them before we went to take a break.
 Sleeping Beauty
 Belle
 And Cinderella
At this point, everyone was hot and tired so we went back to the hotel to rest for a bit. We got park hopper passes and could have came back to Magic Kingdom but the girls were ready to do something else. Of course, there were a lot of other rides and things we could have gone to see but we haven't heard either of them say, "I wish we had done..." We had just taken them last spring so it really does seem like we were just there. More to come!

Everett's First Haircut

One of the highlights of our trip was Everett getting his first haircut! I made an appointment for him at the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. They do a lot of first haircuts. And I knew at Disney it wouldn't just be a haircut, it would be an experience. We had let Everett's hair go for quite a while and Phil and I were both okay with his shaggy look. His crazy hair suited his crazy personality. But it was starting to get in his eyes and we knew it was time. The lady that cut Everett's hair started off by letting him cover himself in Mickey stickers.
She had a variety of Disney toys to keep him occupied.
Time for the drape. He had no idea what was about to happen.
He loved the Cars toy. We nearly had to buy him one at the gift shop afterward.
Then Everett got sprayed down and had his hair combed.
 The first cut!
He had no idea he was getting a haircut! :)
Everett was moving around the entire time and she did not once ask him to hold still.....not that he would have listened anyway. But I was impressed by how fast she was and what a good job she did considering how much he moved around.
  So happy.
She let him feel the trimmers before she used them on his hair.
Getting a little more off the front...
This was his least favorite part of the whole haircut just because he didn't like the hair in his face.
 Doesn't he look proud? :)
I think he had forgotten about the stickers.
And like I said, It wasn't just a haircut, it was an experience. He got cute little Mickey ears and a certificate for being brave during his first haircut. They also saved some of his hair and sealed it up with a Mickey sticker.
 Cuteness
I would highly recommend getting haircuts at Disney. The people that work there are awesome at what they do. And even though it's a barber shop there were a couple of little girls in there getting their hair cut, too. The barber shop is near the doors where they hide the parade floats and where some of the characters go to take breaks. We saw Pinocchio, Daisy Duck and a couple of other characters during the five minutes we waited before Everett's haircut. Great character watching!
