The next day we hopped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom. Everett loved riding the bus. To him it was as good as any of the rides Disney had to offer.
When we made our way through the opening parade and crowd, I took the kids to ride the carousel while Phil grabbed fast passes.
Phil had gotten fast passes for the Winnie the Pooh ride and it spit out bonus fast passes for Mickey's Philharmmagic show. So we went to see it right after the carousel. It was a neat 3D movie that Phil, Everett and I enjoyed. These days when I take the girls to see a movie we don't do 3D for many reasons; cost, they don't keep the glasses on and it makes the scary parts even scarier. We weren't far into the show when Megan asked to leave. When we started to head out Makena said she wanted to come, too. Apparently the show was nearly over because Phil and Everett finished watching and met us outside a couple of minutes later.
Next, we headed over to the Crystal Palace to eat breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends. Tigger was the first character to stop by our table.
For the most part, Everett loved the characters. Often a little too much and would borderline attack them.
Everett loves Tigger and has one that he sleeps with. Nine times out of ten he calls him, Pooh, though. :)
I would have thought Piglet to be one of their least favorite characters but they were really excited to see him (or her?).
Let me give you a kiss!
We planned our trip through AAA. The lady that helped us asked if we would be celebrating anything and we told her that Everett would have just turned 2 that month but not really. She must have still put that in there because Everett was given a birthday cupcake and card at two different restaurants. The girls didn't complain because we made Everett share that little cupcake.
Makena checked out the birthday card signed by Pooh and his friends.
Good ol' Eeyore came next.
By the time Pooh came around we had finished eating and were starting to get restless. Everett started the greeting by tickling/attacking Megan.
And then he shoved Pooh bear and had to be forcibly removed.
Pooh seemed to be laughing. I'm sure that wasn't a first for him.
Next we went to use our fast passes to ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Megan set a bad example by sticking her finger in the pretend honey pot and putting it in her mouth. Everett immediately copied her. Yuck!
This is one of the last pictures of Everett with long hair. He had his first barber shop experience at Disney. If you've seen Everett's hair in person you'll understand why the first haircut gets it's own blog post.
Everett's expression during the ride...
We ran into Alice and the White Rabbit near the teacups but the line was really long. I needed to take Everett ahead to get his haircut but Megan really wanted to see Alice. So Makena, Everett and I went ahead to the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street while Phil waited with Megan. I took the camera with me so Phil took a picture of Megan with Alice on his blackberry. The White Rabbit decided to go take a break just before they walked up. It looks like they had a nice little conversation. :)
