We spent most of the the next day at the Magic Kingdom. Here is another shot of us in front of the castle.
Makena and Megan are really into characters right now. There were only a few rides at Disney they were interested in. We learned on Sunday that the wait to see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider could be 2 hours or more so Phil and Everett graciously volunteered to wait in line. Rapunzel was at the top of our list of characters to see. She is Megan's favorite princess and is number 2 in her heart, after Pooh Bear of course. They waited for over an hour while I took Makena and Megan around the park. Phil said Everett did remarkably well waiting in line. Here are the girls on the carousel...
After the carousel we spotted Pooh and Tigger so we got in line to see them. We were glad their line was very short. When we told the girls we were going to Disney World Makena was worried that she didn't have enough blank pages left in her autograph book. Makena and Megan have autograph books from our last trip to Disneyland that they've also used at WF's Fan Fest. G-Dada gave the girls money to buy new autograph books which we got at our hotel. Here they are getting their books signed.
Our Pooh Bear fanatic, Megan, gave Pooh a great big hug. Although it wasn't quite a special as the first time she saw Pooh at Disneyland when she was 16 or 18 months old. We had to literally hold Megan back so she wouldn't pass everyone in line and run up to Pooh. I remember Rabbit coming over to her when she was getting impatient to see her Pooh Bear. And when it was finally our turn she ran up to him and didn't want to let him go. I'll admit that I cried a little on that trip. I was able to find a couple of pictures from that trip. Here is Megan with the love of her life, Pooh Bear.
And here she is trying to get away from Tigger so she can run back to Pooh.
And here is Megan with Pooh at WDW...
Loving on Tigger...
And here are the boys in line to see Tangled. They had waited long enough that they were first in line for her next appearance.
Rapunzel is a new to the park and is very popular. The first few people in line get to come into a roped off area where they're given Tangled coloring pages and crayons (because Rapunzel is an artist after all!)
Then Rapunzel and Flynn Rider come out and put on a fun interactive performance. Flynn comes out first and hides from Rapunzel.
Then Rapunzel comes out searching for Flynn.
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider held hands with the kids and danced around the table. Then Rapunzel talked to the kids about art and other Tangled things for a couple of minutes before taking pictures and signing autographs. During the dance Makena was one kid away from Flynn Rider. I think Megan was getting hot and tired because she decided not to dance.
Flynn Rider talked to Everett a little.
I was a little disappointed that Megan didn't want to take a picture with Rapunzel since she's one of her faves but I could tell she was pooped.
Here is Makena with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. I thought it was cute that she was holding Flynn's hand. :)
After all of that waiting and playing we needed a break. So we stopped and let the girls have ice cream for lunch. We told them that kind of thing is only allowed at Disney World. Even their ice cream cones had chocolate Mickey ears but they disappeared before I could take a picture.
And here we are on the It's a Small World ride. Everett is passed out, Megan is picking at her lip and Makena is worried that the ride will be dark and scary since this is a ride we haven't ridden before. She enjoyed the ride and I've heard her singing It's a Small World a few times since we've been home. :)
Parades are a great way to see a lot of characters. We were on our way out of the park when we found ourselves in the midst of a parade full of some of our favorite characters. And then I tried to cheat the system by getting a picture with one of Makena's favorite characters, Jesse from Toy Story, during the parade.
Woody, Jesse from Toy Story and Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast
Mr. Incredible, Frozone and the genie from Aladdin
There is Makena with Mickey in the background.
Goofy!
And there is Sebastian from The Little Mermaid with Baloo the bear and King Louie from The Jungle Book.
We hopped on the monorail to head back to the resort for a little down time. The girls loved the monorail so much that we only used the boat from the hotel one time.
Oh how we love the monorail...
We changed into bathing suits and went out to enjoy the resort's pool and white sand beaches.
Everett was unsure of the sand and water at first. But then he wouldn't stop playing in it.
Everett discovered that sand doesn't taste good, even at Disney World.
Ahhh....this is the life. :)
Here is a picture of the fun pool area. The volcano was a water slide but neither of the girls were very interested in it.
Makena and Megan enjoyed the Disney coloring pages and crayons they kept at the kids table in the lobby.
We headed to Downtown Disney for dinner at the very fun Rainforest Cafe. Makena and Megan enjoyed the aquariums and all of the animals. There was a thunderstorm about every 30 minutes and Megan did this every time....
She also covers her ears for fireworks. :) After dinner and a little walking around we headed back to the Magic Kingdom. We hopped on the Walt Disney World Railroad that took us to the other side of the park.
We ended our night with tea cups! We've ridden tea cups at Disneyland and Tweetsie Railroad and they're one of the girls' favorite rides.
Megan said the ride was "hilarious". :)

The teacup pictures are hilarious! Looks like so much fun!
