Saturday was Wake Forest's first home football game so you can probably guess where we were. It was a great game and the Deacs won 34-27. We left this little Demon Deacon at home with the baby sitter....
The kids had fun looking for grasshoppers and other bugs.
I always bring lots of entertainment to ballgames so the adults have a fighting chance at watching the game. Playdoh is always a hit. We had 2 year olds up to 3rd graders playing with it.
It was a beautiful day! The WS Air Show was going on so we got to see quite a few planes, too.
Here is the new score board...
Makena said she had "been waiting for football all summer."
They wanted a picture with the Deacon before we left.
On Sunday, we took the Pearce's out on the blue boat. Here is Capt. Everett!
The girls with Owen and Wyatt
Everett was Daddy's little buddy. He HATES life jackets.
Phil and Dan decided to buy this big float called The Double Howler at the marina. It was a big ol' impulse buy but the kids all had fun in it. Here are the girls watching Owen and Wyatt in it.
The last time we went out on the boat, Makena kept talking about going out to one of the islands in the lake. She brought it up again on this trip and this time we got to take her. I sat in the boat and took pictures while Everett slept in my arms.
I was very impressed when the girls said they wanted to try out the double howler. I wasn't sure they had it in them. Here they are getting loaded up.
This is the wake they got to ride through...
They kept giving us the thumbs up to go faster.
Weeeee!
Big thumbs up at the end!
Woo Hoo!
We watched Dan get up on the skis!
