Girls Day Out

One day last week I had our sitter come and watch Everett so I could take the girls out for a little fun. I asked the girls what they would like to do and we did as much as we could before our sitter had to leave. We went to play putt-putt first. I think they're both dressed funny. Makena's wearing long sleeves and it was in the 90's and Megan is wearing her rain boots and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
Makena was really into it and tried pretty hard but Megan grew tired of it pretty quickly.
After putt-putt they played a few games.
Next, we headed to Brynn's to have frozen yogurt for lunch. What a treat!
We were going to stop and paint pottery but we didn't have time because I got pulled over by the cops. And no I wasn't speeding. :) My tags & registration had expired and I never got the renewal notice (probably because we moved.) Oh, well. Luckily, the policeman only gave me what he called a fix-it ticket. Once I can prove my car has been inspected and the registration has been renewed the ticket usually goes away 99% of the time. If nothing else, getting pulled over was a learning experience for Makena and Megan. :) They didn't understand why we couldn't just leave. And at one point one of them needed to go potty. What would that policeman have thought if he'd looked up from writing my ticket to see one of the girls using the little potty we keep in the van? I swear we sat there 20 minutes and 2 police cars pulled in behind me. And the one directly behind me kept his lights on the whole time. I'm sure we looked like big criminals. :)

After we left our policemen pals we continued on to the movie theater to see the Smurfs movie in 3D. The girls got popcorn and icees and really enjoyed the movie. When we came home, Megan walked through the door singing, "La, la, la-la, la, la, sing a happy song...La, la, la-la, la, la, Smurf your whole day long."
