I had a list of egg hunts and festivals in the area that we could have gone to this weekend. How is it then that we end up at the mall? The primary reason for going was to take Makena and Megan to Build A Bear. We promised Megan that when she was potty trained we would take her there and Makena would be able to get something, too. We also let the girls ride these big jumpy things while we were at the mall. For the life of me I can't remember what they're really called! Makena has asked to ride one of these at our past three mall visits. They both laughed uncontrollably for the first few minutes of the ride.
Look how high they went!
To quote Makena, "Mom! The next time we come to the mall, we have to ride the jumpy thing!"
Here are the girls with their Build A Bear bunnies.
Easter Bunny picture....
Later, Saturday afternoon, the kids and I headed to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. We let Phil sneak off to play a round of golf with some friends. The kids got to dye eggs in the barn and got to nibble some sweet treats.
Here they are dying eggs with Miss Madison.
Here are the girls with one of Megan's preschool best friends, Maisie.
And they're off! There was a mad dash to find the eggs!
Remind me, what am I supposed to do with this thing?
Makena was on a rampage. Must...find...the...golden...egg. :)
Sweet Megan would stop to check the contents of the eggs before putting them in her basket. If she didn't like what was inside, she didn't put it in her basket. :)
Maybe the golden egg is over here in these bushes....
And then Makena started pouting because she couldn't find the golden egg. We nearly had to leave because she was having such a hard time because of the golden egg. Thank goodness she perked up!
The Easter bunny made a surprise trip to the egg hunt!
How wrong is it that I may like this Easter bunny picture better that the one at the mall. It's very true to life and real, don't you think?
And here we all are at the egg hunt! We missed having Phil there but he deserved some time away. Happy Easter everyone!
