Disneyland

Phil's brother lives in Costa Mesa, California, which is awfully close to Anaheim. So we decided to take the kids to Disneyland one afternoon. We waited until the afternoon because it was so HOT during the day! I think it was record high temps everywhere we visited!

We waited in line to see the princesses. They have 3 princesses hidden away in a castle and it is the luck of the draw which 3 you get to see. We saw Belle...

and Princess Tiana.

We also got to go to story time with Cinderella. It was one of the girls' favorites from the day!

We enjoyed cooler temps by going to Disneyland in the afternoon. The only downfall of going in the afternoon, is that some of the characters start to go to bed at the end of the day. We tried to go see Pooh Bear, Megan's absolute favorite person in the whole world. (I think she prefers Pooh to her Mom and Dad.)But when we got to Critter Country, he had already disappeared. We were fortunate to discover a parade while we were walking around. And guess who was on top of a float in the parade? Pooh Bear!! I wasn't able to get a picture of Pooh, of Megan with Pooh, but take a look at Megan when she spots her best friend up on the float. Pure joy.

We took the whole crowd on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This is a terrible picture of us....but it was Everett's first official ride. Megan started freaking out and was terrified most of the ride. We thought they would do okay because we rode it last year and everyone did fine. Everett loved it! I swear he was smiling a couple of times.

Makena and Megan got Minnie hats! Megan had smeared her face paint off during the Pirates of the Carribean. :)
