Ground Breaking at Casa Grande

They started digging on our lot today! It was very exciting! We took the whole family out to watch them start digging. We let Makena and Megan run around and play on the lot. It was still a little wet from last week's snow and there was red mud everywhere. They got so dirty! But they had a lot of fun and it was important to us that they were there for the ground breaking. Our builder wanted us to start looking at brick and shingles. The brick we chose is called Casa Grande. (It sounds like something a Moore would pick, right?) We now often refer to our new house as Casa Grande.
Megan tried to build a little house with our Casa Grande sample...

So dirty!
The first scoop...

Hopefully it won't take long before we can post pictures of something other than dirt. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates so they can get a roof up quickly. The girls would kill us for saying this, but we would be thrilled if it didn't snow anymore this winter!
