WFU Fan Fest

This weekend Wake Forest University had their annual Fan Fest. The event is held at BB&T Field and fans get to walk around and get autographs and pictures with the Fall athletes. We were mostly interested in the football players, as were most of the other people there. :) They had big bounce houses for the kids and a clown making balloon animals. And it was just fun to get to walk around on the football field. The girls were trying to figure out what was wrong with the grass. It felt funny, looked funny and had little rubber pieces all in it. They liked walking barefoot on the AstroTurf.

Megan got at least a dozen high fives! It was so cute! When she noticed what everyone else was doing and stuck her hand out, too. The players were great and made a real effort to come down to her level, even when she didn't have her hand out all the way.

There was a live band this year. Megan had to bust a move.

We absolutely had to get a picture of Megan with Wake's quarterback, Riley Skinner, this year. We were at the Wake Forest/Carolina game a couple of years ago when I was pregnant with Megan. We couldn't decide on a middle name for her so being the big Demon Deacon fans that we are, we decided on Riley after the quarterback, Riley Skinner. The Deacon's went on to win that game so we knew we were making the right choice. :) Here I am with Megan Riley and Riley Skinner.

Makena took her Disney Princess autograph book for everyone to sign. The football players found it entertaining. Two or three of them said it was a nice change of pace after signing posters and playing cards all day. Half of them called it a diary. They were in the book right behind Cinderella and Pooh Bear. Here is Boo Robinson signing the princess book.
