Phil and Makena's Adventure Guide's group went to Camp Cheerio for their spring outing. They left Saturday morning and were going to spend the night in the cabins but ended up driving home late that night. It was cold and rainy and Makena asked to come home. Phil isn't really an outdoors man so he was happy to oblige. I got a shot of them before they left for their trip.
During the spring outing last year they were able to play on the slip and slide and play in the water. It was too cold for any water fun. Phil said he and Makena got in a canoe and it was so windy they were having a hard time getting pushed off from the dock. They lost an oar immediately upon getting in the canoe and with all the wind Makena lost all interest in the canoe.
Makena's favorite activity at the camp was the rock climbing walls. She climbed them at least a half a dozen times.
It was cold up on that mountain!
Here I am with my 4 favorite little people on Mother's Day. We went to brunch at Graylyn with some friends and then spent the day together at home.
Patty gave Megan a chocolate making kit for her graduation. She also gave Makena a gum making kit. The kids were excited to try them out. The chocolate turned out great! The gum was terrible but Makena had fun making it. Everett had to wear the apron Judy and Peter gave him for Christmas.
